2. General
We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). This policy explains the nature, scope, purposes and legal bases of processing on this website.
3. Server log files
When you visit this site, the hosting provider automatically records: IP address, date/time, browser type and version, operating system and referrer URL.
Purpose: technical delivery, stability and security. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR (legitimate interests). Retention: 14 days, then deletion or anonymisation.
4. Conversion tracking (attribution of advertising clicks)
We measure which advertisement led to a visit — and, where applicable, a subsequent purchase. Measurement runs on our own infrastructure at whathetrack.com. We do not pass on or sell this data to third parties for their own advertising purposes.
a) Measurement (all visitors, nothing stored on your device)
When the page loads, a random click identifier is generated server-side and linked to the visit. We process: the click identifier, any advertising click IDs contained in the URL (e.g. Meta fbclid), IP address, user agent, coarse geolocation (country), timestamp and page URL. If you click an order button, the click identifier is passed to the partner network so a purchase can be attributed to our advertising.
Purpose: measuring the effectiveness of our advertising and correct settlement with the partner network. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR (legitimate interests). Objection: Article 21 UK GDPR — contact hello@simplebrowse.co.
In this mode, no information is stored on or read from your device.
b) Storage on your device (only with your consent)
If you give consent via our consent banner, we additionally store the identifiers on your device so they survive a repeat visit or reload:

Legal basis: Regulation 6 PECR together with Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the Cookie Settings link in the site footer. If you decline, only the measurement described under a) takes place; a purchase can still be attributed without anything being stored on your device.
Retention of tracking data: 14 months, then deletion or anonymisation.
5. Redirection to the advertiser's shop
When you click an order button you are redirected via the partner network to the advertiser's online shop; the click identifier is passed along. From that point on, the operator of that shop is the controller and its own privacy policy applies.
6. Recipients / processors
- Cloudflare — content delivery / DNS
- Vercel — operation of the tracking application
- Turso — database (EU/Ireland)
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited — recipient of conversion data (Conversions API) for advertising measurement, only with your consent
Where data is processed outside the UK, transfers are safeguarded by UK adequacy regulations or the applicable standard contractual clauses / UK International Data Transfer Addendum (Articles 44 et seq. UK GDPR).
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Article 15), rectification (16), erasure (17), restriction of processing (18), data portability (20) and objection (21) under the UK GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Contact: hello@simplebrowse.co
